DARWEN councillor Dave Smith has quashed rumours that The Wellington Bar, formerly Darwen Catholic Club, in Wellington Fold, Darwen, has closed — although the building remains up for sale. Coun Smith said: “We will continue to run it as a bar until it is sold.”
