A 52-YEAR-OLD man was knocked off his bike as he cycled in Oswaldtwistle.
The collision with a white-coloured vehicle happened as he rode along Haslingden Old Road near to De Nero’s restaurant.
The driver of the vehicle stopped a short distance away until the cyclist stood up, and the vehicle was then seen driving off in the direction of Haslingden.
The cyclist was treated in the back of the ambulance at the scene for cuts and bruises to the legs.
PC Mike Smith of the Eastern Road Policing Unit appealed for anybody with information about the crash, which happened arounf 6.30pm on July 17, to come forward.
He said: “This could have potentially been a very serious accident and the cyclist is lucky to have walked away with minor injuries. I would appeal for anyone who witnessed this collision or who saw a white vehicle in the area at around this time to get in touch. I would also appeal to the driver themselves to come forward and speak to us.”
