Holiday warning after bin set on fire
FIREFIGHTERS dealt with a burning wheelie bin in Regent Street, Nelson.
Crews were called at around 3.30pm and used a hose reel to put the blaze out.
The fire on Friday is thought to have been deliberate.
Crew manager Nigel Greenwood said: “Deliberate fires can cost lives. These types of incidents can also spread and develop into more significant incidents which can cause damage to property.We would ask that as the summer holidays, start parents are aware of what their children are doing and the potential consequences of deliberate fires.”
