NEW students at a high school are being urged to sign up for their very own iPad device.
Accrington Academy is for the first time asking incoming Year 7 students to sign up for the tablet scheme, after bringing it in this year.
During the spring term the Queen’s Road West school implemented a new IT scheme using iPads. The new tools became a standard feature in special lessons with over 90 per cent of year 7, 8 and 9 students signing up to an iPad and were said to be “using them daily to great effect” by headteacher Andrew Bateman.
