National Flood Forum looking to form group
THE National Flood Forum is looking to form a group in Whitworth.
Hannah Tankard from the NFF said: “A Whitworth flood group would represent the Whitworth community, identifying issues that lead to increasing flood risk such as blocked drains, leaf-filled gulleys, poorly maintained rivers, or roads that become rivers to new developments on land that already floods.”
An initial meeting was held in June and the second meeting will be held on Tuesday, August, 5 at 6pm in the board room of Anglo Felts in Tong Lane.
