A MINING museum could be expanded after plans for the work were submitted.
The owners of Woodend Mining Museum, at Smithson’s Farm, Reedley, want to create extra space.
They said: “The existing building comprises two small rooms that house the exhibits, a store room, a refreshment room, and toilets that serve both the museum and caravan site.
“The proposals are to extend the building by a further two bays to accommodate the refreshment area and convert the existing store room and refreshment area to extend the museum space.”
A decision on whether to approve the plans is likely to be made in September.
