FIREFIGHTERS battled a blaze at a children’s play area in Bacup.
One crew attended the scene in Hawthorn Road just after 10pm on Wednesday.
Watch manager Damian Hartley said: “A small rubbish fire was burning within the compound of the children's play area and there were around 10 male and female young people close by.
“Luckily there was very limited damage to the play area.
“Parents are advised to make themselves aware of where their children are and what activities they are participating in during the summer holidays to ensure that they don’t get involved in anti-social behaviour, such as fire setting.”
