Green grant for village
Rossendale and Darwen’s MP Jake Berry has secured a grant from the Duchy of Lancaster to help maintain a village green in Rossendale.
He said: “I’m really pleased I’ve been able to help secure this grant for Lumb Millennium Green.
“After my request to Lord Shuttleworth, Lumb Brook Millennium Green, has now been awarded £500 towards its maintenance.
“Rossendale Borough Council originally promised substantial funds to get it back in shape, but the money was instead diverted to another park.”
