ROSSENDALE and Darwen MP Jake Berry has asked the Department for Work and Pensions if vulnerable people who cannot work can be moved from Jobseeker’s Allowance on to a more permanent form of benefit.

Minister Esther McVey, who took up the role rafter the recent Cabinet reshuffle, replied: “It is already the case that people who have limited capability for work receive Employment and Support Allowance rather than Jobseeker’s Allowance.”
