TWO girls were rescued by firefighters after they got stuck half way up a 30ft tree.
A crew was called to Yeadon Close in Accrington at around 2.45pm on Sunday to help the seven-year-old and her nine-year-old sister.
Watch manager Lee Cook said: “The girls decided they were going to climb a tree, but they got approximately half way up and realised they were a bit scared and stuck.
“Their mum and dad tried to get them down to no avail, so we were called to assist them.”
One firefighter climbed the tree to reassure the girls and then they were brought down a ladder.
The rescue took around 15 minutes. Watch manager Cook added: “They were both fine.”
