PUPILS and staff at a Ribble Valley school have been thanked for donating money to an education project in Africa.
St Cecilia’s RC High School in Longridge has raised £125.73 for the ‘Our Lady Queen of Peace Mission’ in Turkana, North Kenya.
Father Stephen Ochieng, who set up the boarding school project, said: “A sincere thank you from everyone at the mission to all those involved at St Cecilia’s for all their hard work to raise awareness of the very difficult and harsh circumstances in Todonyang.”
The boarding school aims to enable children to further their education amid peace and stability.
