DERCLIFFE Care Home in Nelson has met all the standards examined during a recent inspection by the Care Quality Commission.
Inspectors from the CQC made an unannounced visit to the Juno Street care home and found that they met the commissions standards for treatment, care and welfare, cleanliness, medicine management, support and service provision.
The report stated: “People told us they were happy with the care they received at the home. One person said ‘I like it here, they are all so friendly.’ “We observed that staff providing people's care were gentle and encouraging. The premises were clean and well maintained.
“People appeared to be treated with dignity. We saw the staff treating people with respect and spending time with people on an individual basis."
