DUGDALE Nutrition of Clitheroe will hold an official opening day for its new £1million blend shed on Wednesday 16th July.

The family-owned and run company which produces farm ruminant feeds developed the shed to show its commitment to the investing for the future.

The 163-year-old old animal feed specialist hopes the new unit at its Salthill headquarters will create jobs and provide tailor-made animal feed for local farmers.

It believes the Lancashire sheep and cattle sector is set to grow needing more feed to help this expansion.

The purpose-built feed blending unit at its Salthill headquarters created two new jobs and will hopefully lead to the employment of six to 10 more staff.

The new plant will produce 50,000 tonnes of blended food a year, including ‘bespoke’ recipes tailored to the individual needs of farmers and their animals.
