RAIL campaigners have announced plans for an open meeting to update supporters on their latest efforts to reopen the Colne to Skipton line.
SELRAP (Skipton East Lancashire Rail Action Partnership) has been told by their consultants Arup that reinstating the stretch would bring returns six-and-a-half times the costs.
The meeting will be held at Herriots Hotel, Skipton, on Monday, July 14, 7pm.
Officials also held a ‘very positive’ meeting with county councillors Azhar Ali and John Fillis over their future aims.
