A PRIMARY school has raised hundreds of pounds for charity while entertaining parents.
St Peter’s C of E in Accrington held two events simultaneously when they opened their doors.
Parents and carers were invited into school to spend the entire morning with their children. Children and adults all took part in fun activities in classrooms. At lunch, the visitors were then able to order a school dinner and sit with their children to eat it.
In the afternoon St Peter's held their Race At Our Place event to raise money for Cancer Research. Every child and staff member had gathered sponsors and on the day wore something pink as they ran, walked or skipped around the school fields. At the end of the race everyone who had taken part was awarded a medal. The school raised a total of £2,084 for the charity.
