Celebrate sport heroes
RIBBLE Valley residents have 11 days to nominate their sporting heroes and community champions.
The borough council is looking for entries in nine categories to compete for the 2014 Ribble Valley Sports and Community Awards. The deadline is Friday July 11.
Nominations can be made in the following categories: Club of the Year, Coach of the Year, Team of the Year, Adult Volunteer of the Year, Young Volunteer of the Year and School of the Year, plus special awards for Rising Star, Lifetime Achievement and Community Engagement.
Borough sports development office Peter Fletcher said: “The awards are a fantastic opportunity for sports clubs, coaches and volunteers, to get the recognition they deserve for their hard work.”
