LOCAL group Fence United has hailed the annual Fence Fete event as ‘an outstanding success’.
The event also saw a three-day beer festival take place at Pendle Forest Sports Club this year, with 20 cask ales, two specialist ciders and a strawberry lager on offer.
On Saturday there was a parade of floats through the village before the fete took place on the school grounds, with a number of activities for children.
Robin Yerkess, a committee member of Fence United, said: “The whole event was judged an outstanding success with Fence United achieving its goal of bringing villagers together.”
