THE Canal and Rivers Trust has launched its own investigation into the circumstances that led to the death of Colne teenager James Goodship.
The 17-year-old drowned at Lake Burwain, in Foulridge, last week after getting into difficulty on a makeshift raft.
A spokesman said: “The trust is carrying out its own investigation to discover the circumstances which led to this tragic incident.”
