APPROPRIATELY enough, the weather was great for a special service in the sunflower garden at East Lancashire Hospice to remember loved ones.
Supporters made a donation in exchange for a loved one’s name hand-written on a wooden sunflower which will be planted in the Park Lee Road’s sunflower garden.
After the service the sunflowers were taken home to be planted in memory of the loved ones.
Fundraising manager, Sharon Crymble, said: “Thank you to everyone who attended and also to Miss Jessie Hall who visited us.
“She raised funds more than 30 years ago to help build the hospice and it was wonderful to see her.”
