PLANS to build 16 flats in Rawtenstall have been given the go-ahead by Rossendale Council.
The borough’s planning committee voted unanimously to green light the Green Vale Homes development.
The proposals for a derelict piece of land off Burnley Road will see 12 one-bed apartments and four two-bed flats built for over-55s.
The approved application is an amended version of the scheme that was changed to fit in with Environment Agency regulations.
