WORSHIPPERS at Burnley’s first Buddhist temple, due to open later this year, have appealed for help in bringing their new site up to scratch.
Yorkshire-based Kadampa Buddhist Centre has been given planning permission by Burnley Council to convert Brunside Mill, in Parker Street.
Now Rachel Waterworth, a volunteer at the centre, has asked businesses to donate paint, furniture and catering equipment for its new cafe.
She said: “We would be very grateful of any items.”
The mill was last used as a furniture showroom by UK Carpets & Interiors.
