A PLAY about Britain’s post-war ‘lost generation’ will visit Barnoldswick this Friday.
Leave Hitler To Me, Lad, based on a true story, will be performed at The Rainhall Centre, in Rainhall Road, from 7pm.
Starring North Lincolnshire company Duck Egg Theatre, the play is being brought to Pendle by Spot On, Lancashire’s rural touring theatre network.
Sue Robinson, from Spot On, said: “This is a brave and ambitious piece of theatre which presents the untold story of the Second World War – the life of the evacuee who doesn’t get to go home after the war ends. This show narrates the heart-shattering account of the harsh reality of war, reflecting the derelict and hopeless state of a post-war Britain.”
