A FULL house is expected for a special film screening at Padiham Town Hall on mining heritage tonight.
Town councillor Bob Clark, himself a former collier, has arranged for The Miners’ Hymns to be shown at the Burnley Road venue from 7.30pm, in partnership with Mid-Pennine Arts.
While the film itself is a silent classic, it is accompanied by an original score from Icelandic composer Jóhann Jóhannsson. It was first produced in 2010.
