THE League of Voluntary Workers havel presented a bladder scanner to the Rakehead Rehabilitation Unit at Burnley General Hospital.
The organisation has donated £8,500 for the purchase of the equipment.
The new piece of equipment will mean that staff do not have to call upon other nursing staff to come over from the main hospital building.
They can scan the bladders of patients at the unit in a more timely manner, and ensure bladders are emptied.
