School leaders to head women’s day prayers
A SPECIAL prayer service is set to be held in the Ribble Valley next month.
The event will be staged at St Leonard’s CE Church in Balderstone to mark Women’s World Day of Prayer. It will start at 7.30pm and is open to ladies from St Mary’s Church in Mellor, St Leonard’s church in Balderstone and St Marys RC Church in Osbalderston – the three churchs to have organised the event.
Ladies from Mellor Methodist Church will also take part in the service on Friday, March 7 marking the international event. Christine Taylor, headteacher at Mellor CE School, will speak.
