A MILLION pound makeover at an Oswaldtwistle park has moved one step closer.
Heritage Lottery Fund and the Big Lottery Fund awarded community groups working on a project at Rhyddings Park £100,000.
The money would be used to develop long term plans to improve and protect the park, and a date has now been set for the stage two bid in August.
The bid will include detailed designs, an audience development plan, a maintenance plan, and business plans, which the £100,000 will be spent on developing. The Fund has reserved £1.46m for the project.
