Opera singer Alwyn back at former school
OPERA singer and former Bacup and Rawtenstall Grammar School student, Alwyn Mellor, will perform at the school’s centenary concert on Saturday, March 1.
The former pupil regularly sings with some of the world’s best orchestras, including the BBC Philharmonic, the Hallé, the Manchester Camerata and others.
She will perform Fauré’s Requiem, and will also perform a selection from her tours repertoire.
