A WOMAN was left with minor injuries after her Nissan Micra collided with a lorry on the Haslingden bypass.

The woman's car hit the Mercedes truck at 1.30pm on Monday, leaving an obstruction on the southbound carriageway near the Tesco superstore.

Traffic built up on the road, which leads on to the M66, as debris was cleared.

Although shaken by the crash, the woman was deemed to be fine after checks on the scene by paramedics.
