PENDLE MP Andrew Stephenson is encouraging residents to get involved with their local libraries.
He was at Nelson Library on Saturday to celebrate National Libraries Day.
“I was delighted to be celebrating the wonderful work done by libraries and librarians. Our libraries have benefited from a record amount of investment over the last few years, including the £600,000 refurbishment of Colne and £500,000 refurbishment of Brierfield Library,” he said, adding: “If you haven’t been to your local library for a while, pop down. I think you’ll be surprised what is on offer.”
