A CROOK is facing jail for a raid attempt at a house on Huttock End Lane, Stacksteads.
Steven Lumb, 56, admitted attempted burglary at the property, last November 28, at Burnley Crown Court.
The defendant, of Church Street, Stacksteads, who is attending Inspire and was said to have ‘lots of medical issues’ was bailed until March 10, for a pre-sentence report. He must live at his home address and observe a 9pm to 7am curfew. Lumb’s barrister Keith Harrison said: “He has got a very bad record. He knows there is a chance of a prison sentence.”
Judge Graham Knowles, QC, warned the defendant: “The fact you are bailed for a report does not mean it rules out prison on the next occasion.”
