VOLUNTEERS removed a large piece of metal fencing from a roadside in Haslingden while collecting litter.
People taking part in the Haslingden Civic Pride litter-pick in Manchester Road also removed four bin liners of rubbish on Sunday.
A spokesman for the group said: “It was a bad day and very windy, but the rain did retreat for a little while. Here's hoping that the weather improves. Thanks to everyone who took part.”
