A WOMAN has been arrested after a lady was robbed in her home in the Infirmary area of Blackburn on Sunday evening.
The 61-year-old victim heard a knock at the door of her house in Southworth Street at around 6.50pm, and when she went to answer it she was pushed back into the house, and the female offender forced her way past.
The thief grabbed a coin bag which contained £3.40, and as the victim tried to push her out of the house she ran off.
The victim and witnesses gave a description of the offender to police, which enabled them to identify a 34-year-old woman, who was arrested yesterday morning.
A police spokesman said the victim was ‘emotionally really upset and traumatised’.
