A UNIVERSITY lecturer has been chosen to run as the Green Party candidate for Ramsbottom in next month’s by-election.
Dr Glyn Heath, who has lived in the Bury North area for 21 years, is married with one child and works at Salford University developing new artificial limbs for people and animals.
Dr Heath’s priorities, should he be elected, would include job creation, air quality, pot holes, tourism, green spaces, youth centres, and other issues.
The by-election will be held on Thursday, March 6, following the resignation of Labour’s Coun Joanne Columbine last month.
