Battle for gay equality
AN event next week will highlight the history of gay equality struggles in Burnley.
The Lancashire Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender Group will revisit the campaign to set up a gay nightclub in Burnley, in 1971.
The event, with guest speakers, is on Saturday, February 15, between 2pm and 4pm, at Towneley Hall Museum.
