THE Ribble Valley Triathlon Club has won a Sportivate bid to hold a six-week course for 11 -25-year-olds, Sportivate is a Sport England, National Lottery-funded initiative to get more young people taking part in sport regularly.
The sessions will take place from 3pm to 5pm and will start on Saturday.
The two-hour sessions will be held in the Castle grounds and focus on bike skills and running fitness. The sessions are aimed at those who are thinking about getting involved in triathlon, even if they have no knowledge of or do not have experience of the sport.
The club are looking for 20 participants to enrol on the free six-week course and any parent volunteers are welcome to come along.
