Team in tidy-up on canal
VOLUNTEERS spruced up a stretch of canal close to Burnley town centre.
The Canal and River Trust members were out along the canal, adjacent to the Straight Mile, last Sunday to tidy up Lindsay Street Community Garden. Group leader Alice Kay said: “We had amazing weather for our monthly Towpath Taskforce. We had nine volunteers and made great progress.”
The next meeting is on March 2 at a location yet to be decided.
