RISHTON residents have once again been urged to report fly-tipping after a mattress was dumped in a back alley.
The bedding was left behind Howard Street, and removed by the council less than 24 hours later. The alley, close to Danvers Street, was also cleaned.
Local councillor Ken Moss asked residents to report culprits to the council, which has a strong track record of prosecuting illegal tippers. He asked residents to provide ‘as much detail as possible’, including the date and time of the offence, vehicle registration plate, and the name of the culprit.
