Blackburn College is still enrolling students, especially from these two areas, to its BTEC Level Two Health and Social Care course.
The one-year, work-related course can lead to a range of jobs in the health and social care sector. Curriculum area manager Neil Smith. “A lot of our students progress on to our BTEC Level Three programme and then on to university, with degrees in nursing and midwifery really popular at the moment.
“One of our biggest advantages is that we provide high quality work placement opportunities to ensure our students have outstanding employability skills. We offer a huge range of placement settings to suit all career aims, including children’s centres, care homes and primary schools.”
For students with a particular interest in NHS careers, the college offers an NHS Cadet Level Three course in partnership with East Lancashire Hospitals Trust. Call 01254 292929.
