STAFF and students from a school in Bacup, and the town’s Rotarians, will be attending a Remembrance Service at Weir War Memorial, on Deerplay Moor, in Burnley Road, Weir, on Monday.
Peter Steen, president of Bacup Rotary Club, is inviting anyone who wishes to attend the service to join the group.
The memorial commemorates men from Weir village who died in World War One.
Bacup Rotary Club took over the maintenance of the site in 2007.
And it has also been adopted by Northern Primary School.
