A DEVELOPER is set to be warned to tidy up a site which has raised untidiness complaints in Barnoldswick.

Councillors have been told that planning permission was given for five new homes on land off Bank Street in February 2012.

But a report to the West Craven area committee says that although the site was fenced off at the time, it has since become a problem. Planning manager Neil Watson said that the fencing had now been dispersed across the site and the land itself had become overgrown with plants and weeds.

The committee will be asked tonight, when it meets at the Rainhall Centre, to authorise officers to serve a planning notice on the site operators if the situation is not resolved within a fortnight.
