A BUSINESSWOMAN turned mountaineer has celebrated after scaling Kilimanjaro for a two-year-old cerebral palsy sufferer.
LTC Recruitment in Rishton boss Lorraine Thornber said that she was ‘emotional’ after climbing 20,000 foot up the Tanzanian mountain for Great Harwood resident Neave Evans. Lorraine, 49, spent six days hiking and sleeping in a tent in a bid to raise £1,000 to help pay for a sensory room at the toddler’s home.
She has so far racked up £575 in donations.
She said: “It was an emotional journey with tears all around, but I did it.”
