TWO Blackburn College students stole a laptop from the college library and sold it to finance a day out in Manchester.
Blackburn magistrates heard one of the teenagers used his college ID to book the computer out of the ‘laptop safe’ and the entire incident was caught on CCTV.
And they were told one of the thieves had moved on to study criminology at Manchester University.
Ajijur Rahman, 18, of Balmoral Road, Haslingden, pleaded guilty to stealing a laptop. He was given a conditional discharge for 12 months and ordered to pay £100 costs.
