YOUNG people have been asked to put pen to paper in a competition to highlight the effects of alcohol on society.
Lifeline Young People’s Service is looking for poems, short stories and raps about people’s experience of alcohol abuse.
The service hopes that the creative writings, some of which will be displayed in National Alcohol Awareness Week in November, will encourage people speak more openly about the issue.
Entries should be dropped into the centre in Darwen Street by November 11.
