SCARY stories are being brought to life at Burnley Youth Theatre for Halloween.
Spooky Tales, a collection of creepy short stories for people aged nine and up, will be performed at the playhouse in Queens Park Road on Wednesday, October 30 at 1pm and 7.30pm.
A spokeswoman for the theatre said: “Hosts Edward and Martha Creep are just dying to meet the Burnley audiences.
“Audience members can join the cast and dress up in their scariest outfit with the promise of prizes for the most ghoulish.”
There will also be a free drama workshop before the show.
The Boy Who Cried Wolf to Burnley will be staged on Thursday, October 31 at 1pm, and is suitable for ages three and up.
A spokeswoman said: “Inspired by the famous Aesop fable, this wonderful play has a gifted ensemble of actor musicians who play the delightful characters, funny sheep and, since it is Hallowe’en, perhaps a scary wolf or two.”
Tickets for the shows cost £6 for adults, £4 for concessions or £18 for a family ticket. To book, call 01282 458655.
