JAKE Berry MP is asking children in his Rossendale and Darwen constituency to reveal their inner artist in his annual Christmas card competition.
All under-11s are invited to put pencil, pastel or paint to paper for the competition and he hopes a budding Picasso could be found in the process.
The winning design will be sent to a host of constituents, politicians and dignitaries over the festive period.
The theme for this year's competition is 'Christmas in Lancashire' and it is open to any primary school-aged children in Rossendale and Darwen.
Mr Berry said: “I’m really looking forward to seeing the creative talents on offer over the next few weeks. I know the judges are going to have a difficult time choosing the winner and I hope everyone has fun showing off their skills.”
Entries should be on A4 paper and sent to Jake at either 7 Railway Road, Darwen, BB3 2RG or 4 Mount Terrace, Rawtenstall, BB4 8SF by Sunday 27 October.
They should include the entrant’s name, age, school and a daytime number.
