THIS what the old market in Blackburn looks like since the bridge and circular walkway from The Mall to the site were taken down over the weekend.
The three-day market hall has already been completely knocked down as stage one of the town centre redevelopment.
Council regeneration boss Coun Maureen Bateson said: “The bridge and circular walkway from The Mall to the old market site were taken down over the weekend, keeping us on track with the demolition. We’re now in phase two, the removal of the six day market. Work is also due to commence on the construction of the interim bus station adjacent to Brown Street.”
