FAMILIES in Brierfield and Nelson are invited to get out and about by joining walking event with Lancashire Care NHS Foundation Trust.
The Big Family Health Walk will be from 10am to 3pm on Tuesday, with the option to meet at a number of starting points.
The groups will start by walking along the canal, and stop off along the way at the play park followed by Lomeshaye Nature Reserve and Victoria Park for lunch.
Anyone is invited to attend and meet at one of the following places at 10:30am: The Family Tree Centre, Tunstill Square, McMillan Nursery School, Railway Street, The Ace Centre, Cross Street or Brierfield Library in Market Square.
Northern Rail is providing a free train ride for attendees to return from Nelson to Brierfield at the end of the walk. For details call Wendy Ireton on 01282 648001.
