STATIONARY costs at Hyndburn Borough Council will be cut by £1,000 a year if plans to reintroduce black and white letterheads are given the go ahead at a meeting tomorrow.
Coun Chris Fisher proposed the Council, which celebrates its 40th anniversary in 2014, could celebrate by adopting the same black and white letterheads original used in 1974.
Buying paper from a sustainable source would save around £700 a year and a further £300 because pre-printed letterheads would not be needed.
