TALKS are to take place between Pendle Council and Bradley Nursery over the possibility of using land as a car park.
Bosses at the nursery want to use land off Bradley Road East as a car park but council officers have recommended further discussions over who covers the costs.
Planning permission to change the use of the land would cost £385 while non-domestic rates would be £1,000 a year.
Judith Stockton, from Pendle Council, said: “The council would need to grant occupation of the site to the nursery by way of a license or a tenancy at will.
“An agreement would enable the council to ask the nursery to vacate the site at when it wished to redevelop it. Should the council wish to enable the nursery to use the site as a car park on a temporary basis, negotiations would need to be opened on the basis that all of the above costs are covered by the nursery.”
