POP impresario Pete Waterman will be guest of honour at the launch of the East Lancashire Railway’s new real ale bar, the Buffer Stops, at Rawtenstall station on Saturday at 2.30pm.
The north west’s popular 12-mile heritage and tourist railway is showcasing its latest attraction as part of the 1968 End of Steam Festival which takes place over the weekend.
General manager Andy Morris said: “We’re tremendously pleased that Pete Waterman has given some of his free time to come along and support the project.”
